abop Musical Theatre weekly classes give students a unique opportunity to work on the three essential disciplines that make up musical theatre: vocal, dance and acting.

VOCAL

In abop Musical Theatre classes, young people will have the opportunity to develop their singing skills in a supportive and fun environment. Students will be guided through vocal warm-ups and exercises to improve their pitch, tone, and range and how to sing in harmony with others. They will learn how to express themselves, convey emotion and how to tell a story through their singing which will help develop their confidence and stage presence.

ACTING

Young people will learn how to portray a character through their acting, and how to use body language, facial expressions, and voice to bring a character to life. Through exercises such as improvisation and role-playing students will learn how to work as part of a team. Musical Theatre is a collaborative art form, and performers must work together to create a successful performance. Students will learn how to support their fellow performers and work towards a common goal.

DANCE

Dance is crucial component of Musical Theatre and students will learn how to control their movements, develop their coordination, and improve their flexibility. Students will learn how to use dance to convey emotion and enhance their performances. This will help them develop their creativity and artistry, which are essential skills for any performer.
