Is a female only project devoted to providing an environment for young women’s stories to be told by young female artists.

Designed for exceptional highly motivated female performers aged 14-18 years looking for high calibre theatre engagement as part of a performance driven company. Suitable for young artists with a serious commitment to a career in Theatre or Performing Arts.

 

The programme is open to talented young women who excel at performance, are, passionate and committed to the ensemble.

Women's Works and Hourglass Theatre offer projects for performers who wish to present vibrant, innovative, gritty and entertaining works of theatre for a varied audience.

Auditions for new company members are advertised per project.

Women's Works and Hourglass Theatre do not set out to promote overt political messages, feminist or other, but instead performs work which cultivates theatrical discourse and promotes young female performers.

Dedicated to putting girls and women’s stories at the forefront and supporting the work of female practitioners Women's Works and Hourglass Theatre are committed to developing, producing, and staging contemporary plays, works by new and emerging artists and collective devised theatre.   By working with tight ensembles and making work accessible to new audiences in Theatres, Arts Centres, Schools and all manner of performance spaces the young company strives to promote, advocate and inspire girls and women through the arts.
